6.d - Problems With Visual Text Box Editor in IE7 and Vista

If you are using Windows Vista or Internet Exploreer 7 (IE7) to access NSU Blackboard, you may find that the "Visual Text Box Editor" does not work properly. In order to use the text box with applications such as: Discussion Board, Announcements, Tests, etc., you will need to DISABLE the "Visual Text Box Editor". Likely symptoms of this problem are such that you may not be able to view or insert discussion board comments; you may not be able to see or input answers to "essay" or "short answer" questions on your tests, quizzes or exams; etc. You can turn off the Visutal Text Box Editor in Blackboard by following the directions below:
  1. Login to Blackboard
  2. Click on "Personal Information" on the left side of the screen.
  3. Select "Visual Text Box Editor Options".
  4. Change to "Unavailable"
  5. Click Submit.
